I’m  a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight…..

* If you  grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you’re  “exotic, different.”

* Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers,  a  quintessential American story.

* If your name is Barack you’re a  radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

* Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track,  you’re a maverick.

* Graduate from Harvard law School and you are  unstable.

* Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you’re  well grounded.

I am not a fan of “late night” humor…but I watched this Saturday night and was dying.

Just Askin’: Relax…Relate..Release?

Ok…so we need something a little funnier than “Palin” this week.  One of my colleagues asked me a question the other day and his (or her, trying not to reveal identity…lol) question was this: “Why do we feel embarrassed when we “boo-boo” drop the kids at work?  I mean, I feel like everyone knows” (sorry if you were eating).  And I laughed my a$$ off because that is a REAL question.  Why are we embarrassed to “really” use the bathroom at work?  And why do we think being regular reflects on our….WHAT–intelligence, capabilities, worth?  Are you “smarter” holding it in?  Are we afraid that the longer we stay away from our desk “they will know” like some secret X-files mystery?  I mean how dare dogs, horses, and other animals release when their body says go!

So what’s the big deal?  And why do we feel embarrassed? Thoughts…thoughts…Bueller?  Special thanks to my friend who I am SURE will personally chastise me for this (but it’s comedy) 🙂

At least that’s how we remember him as (real name is Carl Anthony Payne II). And Ify & Them would like to congratulate him for maintaining a JOBB! He shows what perseverance in the entertainment world REALLY IS! Through the Cold War of the 80’s, the Hollywood Strike, and the recent depression we are experiencing, Cockroach held it down on the Cosby Show, then resurfaced as “Payne” on Martin, and now plays a random “hood” friend of Calvester on Under One Roof. Cockroach…we salute you. Check out a memorable clip of Cockroach!
