I first saw this photograph when rikyrah used it on Jack and Jill Politics and it disoriented me and I didn’t understand why until today. I could appreciate the beauty of this photograph without being able to connect with the emotions the photo evokes. The look on this little boy’s face is angelic and blissful. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I don’t remember my father holding me, embracing me, touching me, or loving me. Continue reading
